I am a computer scientist in the Department of Computer Science at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Prior to joining UC3M I worked at the University of York. My work back then was mainly funded by the ITA project (a joint effort between the UK Ministry of Defence and the US Army Research Lab led by IBM) and the SEBASE project. I obtained my PhD in Computer Science in 2004 at the University of Granada with a dissertation on statistical anomaly detection for network security.
My research interests are primarily in network security and applied cryptography. Over the last years I have worked in a number of areas within these fields, including:
