Curriculum Abreviado

In 2007, Dr. García joined to the Planning and Learning Group (PLG) leaded by Prof. Dr. Daniel Borrajo at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). In 2013, the applicant obtained a PhD that received the distinguished Thesis Award at the Computer Science Department of UC3M. In 2014, he moved to Portugal to join the Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Laboratory (LIACC), to complete an international postdoctoral research stay. Finally, the applicant rejoined to PLG in 2016 where he currently serves as senior researcher. The applicant’s research line has generated an important record of contributions, 14 JCR journal papers (9 in Q1, 4 in Q2, and 1 in Q3), 6 book chapters (all of them published by prestigious publishers as Springer) and 18 national and international conference papers (3 ranked Class 2 and 1 ranked Class 3 by the GGS rank). Dr. García has joint publications with research institutions from 5 different countries: USA, UK, Portugal, France and Germany. Proof of the importance of the applicant’s research line is that he has over 900 citations according to Google Scholar (h-index: 10; i10-index: 11). The applicant has been Program Committee member of top venues as IJCAI (ranked A+), IROS (ranked A), and FSDM and reviewer of top journals as Machine Learning Journal (Q2) and Expert Systems with Applications (Q1). He has also been invited to present research results at different companies as BBVA Data & Analytics, TERAS and venues as ICAPS (ranked A+), IROS (ranked A) and ECAI (ranked A).

Docencia

Dr. García was Teaching Assistant in 3 lecturing courses, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Heuristic and Optimization, in the Degree in Computer Science and Engineering of the UC3M. Additionally, the applicant has been the Coordinator of the course Heuristic and Optimization. Dr. García has accumulated more than 600 teaching hours in these courses, and he is accredited since 2020 as Associate Professor (Tenured Lecturer) by the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA).
