Andrea received his MsC. degree (magna cum laude) in Computer Science from "Sapienza" Universitá di Roma. Thesis entitled: "Spatio-temporal analysis of georeferenced images".
His past research activities mainly concern CSCW applications, multimedia stream transmission and advanced communication systems: in 2005 he received a research grant within the FIRB research project WEB-MINDS Middleware for high-end services in huge wired/wireless distributed systems.
In 2005 he was selected to attend the IBM's EMEA Top Students Recognition Event in Bobligen, Germany. He received a research grant from 2006 to 2007 from CATTID (Centro per le Applicazioni della Televisione e delle Tecniche di Insegnamento a Distanza, "Sapienza" Universitá di Roma) and ORACLE Italia s.r.l. for carrying out Advanced research activities on RFID technology applications.
In 2009 he received M.Phil degree in Computer Science from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is currently involved in the doctoral program at the same university. His present research focus on Human Computer Interaction, Natural User Interfaces, Tabletop Computing and Interaction Design.
